The Business Service Scenario

In this scenario the SafeTRIP service provider has no direct relationship with end users. The scenario is the mirror of the first scenario: in both cases one party has an exclusive relationship with the end users.

In this case the SafeTRIP service provider provides a communication service to an existing service provider. The SafeTRIP platform is hidden from the end user. The existing service provider has exclusive direct contact with end users.

Figure 24: The Business Service Scenario

In this scenario the existing service provider provides the end users with end to end services. He/she is the focal point in the customer relationship and is responsible for:

-      provision of the OBUs

-      provision of Authentication, Authorization and Accounting features

-      provision of value added services.

In this model the SafeTRIP service provider is responsible for:

-     provision to the end user of S-band satellite connectivity complemented by alternative ground networks (AGN) and seamless routing of the data streams between available networks.
