Business Models for SafeTRIP Platform
In such a model the end user may purchase the compatible terminal directly from an independent OBU manufacturer or via the SafeTRIP Service provider.
In this model the SafeTRIP service provider is responsible for:
- provision to the end user of S-band satellite connectivity complemented by alternative ground networks (AGN) and seamless routing of the data streams between available networks. This is a role similar to that of a mobile network operator;
- may provide Authentication, Authorization and Accounting services depending on the arrangements with the existing service providers.
