Integration of Mobile Phones with onboard MIC and speakers

The Transport Operator wishes to integrate the drivers’ mobile phone with the microphone and speakers in the driver’s cabin. The driver occasionally receives calls on his mobile or has to make calls. It is highly desirable in the interest of safety that a hands-free option uses the same microphone and speakers for both mobile and SafeTRIP usage.

Revenue Protection and Last Minute Sales

Currently, Transport Operators have to close the sales of tickets once the coach has departed from the city of origin or earlier. In addition, revenue sharing with agents or other operators is based on actual travel, not the sale of a ticket as the passenger can later return an unused ticket. By knowing ‘who is on the coach?’ at all times, accounting mistakes coming from mismatching paper stubs with the passenger list can be eliminated. Tickets can also still be sold for remaining legs of the journey.
